EVEN ON THE COLDEST NIGHTS, ST FELIX CENTRE HAS THE WARMEST HEARTS!
The winter season can be full of treasured moments with family and friends, for most of us. However, there are members of our community who really struggle during these cold nights – homeless, hungry, many times feeling hopeless… And it is for them that we ask you to walk with us, St. Felix Centre on February 23rd, 2019 as part of our very first ‘Coldest Night of the Year’ event!
The Coldest Night of the Year is a national fundraising walk which takes place in over 125 cities all across Canada and raised $4 million last year. We feel very proud that our Centre has been invited for the first time to be part of this great event!
Join us on the ‘Coldest Night of the Year’ and walk to raise awareness about homelessness and, at the same time, raise funds to support our guests through St. Felix Centre’s programs and services. It is a great opportunity for families to spend some quality time while giving back to the community together, and for businesses to have a fun team-building activity while showing their customers their social responsibility.
It is very easy to get involved! Become a Team Captain or join a team, and then invite people to sponsor your pledge. Just visit our Coldest Night of the Year web-page and register online. You’ll find us at https://cnoy.org/location/torontoqueenspadina. We will walk from our 25 Augusta Ave location to our new 24-Hour Respite site at Liberty Village, and back. We will have a snack and a hot drink during the walk, and a small celebration at the end.
We have set a first-year goal of $20,000, but we need YOU to make that happen! If you have any questions, please contact us at CNOY@stfelixcentre.com.
We walk because only the weather should be cold… Our hearts should always be warm to give hope to those in need of our compassion and support. “Everyone is a neighbour”! Join us on the Coldest Night of the Year!
