Individuals experiencing complex challenges related to poverty, homelessness, mental illness and addictions need a higher level of assistance. Through the delivery of different programs to some of the most marginalized members of our community – such as the Winter Respite Services program – St Felix Centre has found an increasing need and request for housing and case management supports.
Our Housing and Case Management Services have enabled St Felix Centre to provide a more comprehensive supportive service to our guests. We assist individuals in a wide variety of areas including housing, ID replacement, income support, referrals to primary health care, detox, psychiatric health care and justice system navigation.
Securing permanent housing can be one of the most difficult things for someone to do, especially in an expensive city like Toronto. Once we have been successful in housing someone though, the task of maintaining that housing can be equally if not more challenging. Through our Housing and Case Management services, staff are able to stay connected to those guests who have been housed and we are able to continue to support them and help to ensure that they don’t return to homelessness.
We are committed to support vulnerable sectors in our community and help to ensure that everyone has a safe and secure place to live, and that they have all the resources needed to meaningful and dignified lives.
